King Edward Mine

About Us

We are an independent cafe serving up local food with a twist, to locals and visitors to the area. We are know for our delicious breakfasts, Homemade cakes and unique lunch menu. Our Brisket fries are very popular along with our Double smash burger and hand battered to order cod fish finger sandwich. 

You will always get a warm welcome at the croust. We cater to allergens and take our responsibilities seriously. Having family members and staff that have dietary requirements we know first hand the importance. just ask for our dietary menu for details.

We have been open at the cafe since 2017 but opened our first cafe in 2013. It's our passion. We get incredibly busy especially for breakfast at the weekends so booking is always a great Idea. 

The King Edward Mine Museum

The King Edward Mine Museum was a teaching facility for the Camborne school of mines for almost 100 years. They have a fantastic array of mining equipment.  To discover more about King Edward mine Click the link.

The Great Flat Lode

We also have the Great Flat Lode on our door step. This is a 7.5m circular route suitable for walking cycling and horse riding. Click the link to have a look the map.

The Croust Hut Cafe Project

Build in 2016 the projects aim was to fit out a new café at the King Edward Mine in the Assay House bringing the redundant building back into use at King Edward Mine Museum

 

The Build was part funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development
